Where we ship from

Chopsticks Optional (spiral-bound and hardcover) and our merch ship from California, by USPS. We ship to the US and to most countries worldwide.

When it ships

• Orders placed through December 14. Everything ships by December 14. This covers orders placed by 11:59pm Pacific on Monday, December 14.
• Orders placed on or after December 15. Ships within 3 business days. Checkout shows the USPS estimated delivery dates for your address. Not guaranteed to arrive by Christmas.
• Christmas delivery. We can't promise Christmas delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, military (APO, FPO and DPO) addresses or addresses outside the US.

Everything in your order that goes to the same address ships together in one box, including a mix of spiral-bound and hardcover copies.

You'll get an email with tracking once your order ships.

Shipping cost

• Free US shipping on orders of $50 or more. This covers the 50 states, Washington, DC, Puerto Rico, Guam and military (APO, FPO and DPO) addresses. The ebook doesn't count toward the $50.
• Orders under $50, and other US territories. The rate for your address is shown at checkout before you pay.
• Outside the US. Shipping is quoted at checkout. Any duties, import taxes or customs fees your country charges are yours to pay.

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where required.

The ebook

Every printed copy you buy for yourself comes with the Chopsticks Optional ebook, sent by email. No shipping needed. A second copy for a friend ships with an ebook card, so they get the ebook too.

Damaged or lost packages

If something arrives damaged or your package is lost, we'll replace it. See our returns and replacements page for the details.
